As a member of Direct Partner’s Information Sciences team, Baron’s responsibilities involve achieving a holistic understanding of the strategic goals, motivations and needs of both internal client stakeholders and end-user consumers.

He creates and curates documents which form a unified project vision shared by the client and Direct Partner’s delivery team. He champions consumer experience and strives to fashion information architectures and user interface designs that deliver an optimal user experience for our client’s customers.

Baron defines and refines project scope by producing business requirements documents, process flows, wireframes, and usability audits for existing and upcoming website development projects.

Prior to joining Direct Partners, Baron was a business analyst and software development consultant in the South East with experience architecting and developing software applications for the financial, medical, and insurance industries.

Thinking inside the box: The case for convention

The human brain has the ability to unconsciously perform repetitious activities. This trait was favored by evolution because it allows us to automatically perform mundane tasks like walking without requiring constant expenditure of mental effort. This frees our conscious mind to focus on solving complex and novel tasks. As it is advantageous to repeat a once-learned pattern rather than start from scratch each time, humans tend to gravitate toward accepted conventions.
